Email is unlike any other medium in the world. With just an address, anyone can talk to anyone, no matter their location, status, or class. It’s democratized access, it’s a sacred privilege, and it’s worth protecting at all costs.
Resend is building the most accessible email platform for developers. As we’ve grown to over 15K customers and continue to onboard thousands of new users every day, the pressure of maintaining a safe place for good senders continues to build up.
You’ll build the interfaces, services, tooling, and enforcement pipelines for Trust & Safety. From consoles to enforcement automations.
In this role, you will…
Build and maintain internal services for enforcement, throttling, and policy rules
Design automation pipelines that move from detection → decision → action
Connect with core infrastructure: databases, queues, caching layers, and observability stacks
Implement safeguards: fail-safes, fallback paths, and guardrails to prevent over-blocking
Collaborate with teams to turn raw signals into actionable workflows
Ensure all enforcement actions are traceable with logs, metrics, and audit trails
You’ll be a great fit if you…
Bring 5+ years of software engineering experience
Are fluent in writing and speaking English
Have deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React (Express, Hono, Next.js)
Proven experience with databases and performance tuning (Postgres, Clickhouse)
Infrastructure and reliability skills (Datadog, AWS, CDK)
Understand how to design systems with safety and fail-safe operations in mind
Are comfortable with APIs, event-driven architectures, and stateful services
Care deeply about observability: metrics, logs, tracing, error handling
Take ownership across the stack — from frontend surfaces down to databases and queues
Have worked in trust, safety, fraud, or security domains
Have exposure to real-time enforcement systems, such as rate-limiting
